Dr. Yihan received her dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and practiced as a general dentist for one year. She then decided to specialize and completed her Master of Science degree in Periodontics with IV Certification at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Dr. Yihan served as Chief Resident for her final year at St. John Providence Hospital. She had training in epidemiology and has published multiple research work in the field of epidemiology and implant dentistry.

Dr. Yihan has a strong background in implant therapy including immediate implants at time of extraction when appropriate. In addition, Dr. Yihan has advanced training in bone grafting, sinus augmentation, and mucogingival surgery.

Dr. Yihan lives in Troy and enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children. They enjoy traveling, camping, and skiing together.  She is now learning how to play the classical guitar.
